Pulse Secure targets MSPs with Network Utilities deal

Partnership extension sees SI Network Utilities provide educational campaign for MSPs

Juniper spin-off Pulse Secure has extended its partnership with systems integrator (SI) Network Utilities in a push to boost business with MSPs.

Formerly known as Junos Pulse, Pulse Secure provides mobile security and became independent of Juniper in October.

The new partnership will see Network Utilities provide an educational campaign for MSPs to show the suitability of Pulse Secure's services around network and security control and BYOD.

Network Utilities claims to be increasing its focus on the MSP space. The firm also delivers IT networking and security to enterprises and service providers.

Toby Makepeace, technical director of Network Utilities, said the partnership extension reflects the firm's confidence in Pulse Secure after its departure from Juniper.

"The extension of our relationship following the divestiture of the Junos Pulse products line from Juniper Networks is recognition that the new organisation has the dedication and focus we feel is vital to deliver solutions tailored for the service provider community. We are confident that our relationship will continue to grow," he said.

Rob Thatcher, UK regional channel manager at Pulse Secure, said: "As we transition our former Juniper partners to the new Pulse Secure Connect Now programme, there are great opportunities to build stronger relationships between the channel communities.

"The new programme also marks the start of our campaign to extend our reach past general enterprise and into more vertical markets such as legal, healthcare, logistics and others where in the past we have not focused our partner resources," he said.

News of the partnership extension comes two weeks after Pulse Secure cut Avnet from its distribution line-up.
