Entatech preps resellers for Intel's Skylake chip
Intel's Skylake is being used by the distributor to develop attachment opportunities for resellers
Distributor Entatech claims it is using Intel's new Core i7-6700K Skylake chip to create attachment opportunities for reseller partners.
This will give them the chance to boost the revenue generated from selling the new chipset, by paring it with relevant products.
The distributor is also helping resellers identify Skylake-ready products in their portfolios with a product association tool on its e-commerce site. Partners can use this to identify compatible coolers, motherboards and memory solutions with a Skylake-compatible icon on the site, it said.
A microsite dedicated to Skylake products will also be introduced, giving reseller partners easy access to the specifications of more than 50 products available from Entatech.
Intel claims that Skylake - which it says "marks a turning point in people's relationships with computers" - boasts improved memory and is 100 per cent compatible with existing DDR4 memory kits.
Brad Cronwell, gaming and peripherals product manager at Entatech, said: "Here at Entatech we understand that compatibility can be a minefield and sometimes getting the correct information at the correct time can be the difference between a deal won and a deal lost.
"For this reason we have a dedicated account management team as well as a team of experienced product specialists on hand to provide the best possible support we can for all our customers, no matter the size."
