UKFast grabs time-capture cloud deal
Six-figure deal sees hosting firm create bespoke private eCloud solution
Hosting specialist UKFast has secured a deal to enhance the IT infrastructure of time-capture specialist Rekoop.
Under the £500,000 deal, Rekoop, which offers a time-capture platform for the professional services industry, has had a private eCloud solution created for it by UKFast on which to deliver its applications.
Phil Wedgwood, chief executive of Rekoop, said: "With more users coming onstream every month, it's essential that we maintain service standards and the integrity of our application delivery. UKFast offers a privately owned, ISO 27001-accredited datacentre, a top-notch support operation and a robust approach to security and availability.
"[UKFast has] worked very closely with us to tailor a next-generation private eCloud environment that will both underpin client operations and free up the team here from back-office 'housekeeping' to add more value at the front end," he added.
The fact that Rekoop has experienced significant growth over the past two years made the two companies a perfect fit, explained Lawrence Jones, CEO of UKFast.
"Our focus here at UKFast has always been on speeding up the internet and freeing up as much time as possible for our clients," Jones said. "Time is precious and you should spend it wisely. It makes absolute sense, therefore, for us to partner with time-capture specialist Rekoop.
"It is an astonishing piece of technology that enables professionals to actively capture and track how their time is spent. It's a concept that could massively improve efficiency in the professional services industry and I look forward to working together for a long time to come."
