Oracle VAR Inoapps transfers HQ to central London
Reseller moves headquarters from Aberdeen to 'landmark' new facility in London
Oracle reseller Inoapps has opened a new office in central London, and moved its headquarters there.
The VAR, previously headquartered in Aberdeen, was attracted to the close proximity to Oracle's own offices and wanted more of a "prominent" footing in the international market, according to Inoapps chief executive Andy Bird.
"It seemed more logical and realistic to have headquarters in London, rather than in Aberdeen. We already do a lot of business in London and have a lot of staff down there, and it's key to be close to Oracle," he told CRN.
"It's more for customers and global staff [as well]. Aberdeen is fine if we are only interested in oil and gas, but we are interested in many different industries, and it's just more prominent."
The offices, located in Moorgate, will hold 20 Inoapps employees. These will be a mixture of current staff working remotely in the area and new starters, and they will predominately be in sales and marketing, Bird said.
The firm now has UK locations in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Derby and London. Bird said there would not be any consolidation of these offices following the London opening.
Over the years Inoapps has completed a number of acquisitions, including deals for fellow Oracle resellers Crocus Consulting in 2014 and Teamsolve in 2011. But Bird indicated its M&A strategy has been put on hold.
"Currently we are not focusing on an acquisition strategy with our expansion. We have expanded into new product lines and we are starting to look to create a customer experience division globally to focus on Oracle sales and marketing cloud," he said.
For its last fiscal year, ending July, Inoapps' global revenues were around £25m, but Bird hopes to push this up to £30m for its current year.
The company has global offices in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Houston in the US and has recently opened a new office in Dubai.
