Trustmarque revs up services with Northgate deal
VAR wins cloud hosting deal with UK's largest vehicle rental firm
Trustmarque has talked up its increased services prowess after bagging a deal to supply the UK's largest vehicle rental firm with professional services and cloud hosting.
The VAR will provide Northgate Vehicle Hire with a geo-redundant, cloud-based service from two datacentres, hosting its business applications and underlying infrastructure.
The win comes after software licensing specialist Trustmarque completed its merger with services-focused VAR Trinity.
"Following our merger with Trinity earlier in the year, we have broadened our software, professional and cloud services offering, to offer an end-to-end capability," said Angelo Di Ventura (pictured), group sales and marketing director at Trustmarque.
"For businesses such as Northgate, there is huge advantage in them being able to deal with an IT supplier that can provide them with the services and technical expertise they require."
Northgate's Cisco UC application and the vehicle booking system it uses across its 76 branches are among the business applications that will be hosted in Trustmarque's datacentres.
"For us, the critical factor when it comes to our infrastructure is ensuring the business continuity of services," said Northgate CIO Richard Harris. "Trustmarque really stood out in this area and was able to demonstrate its expertise in providing datacentre services."
