ANS boss cooks up breakfast for staff

Paul Sweeney whips up 200 breakfast baps for staff

ANS Group's chief executive Paul Sweeney has prepared breakfast for all 200 of the firm's staff, describing the culinary feat as "the hardest work I've ever done".

At a recent company-wide meeting, Sweeney pledged to personally prepare breakfast for the 200-strong ANS team in a bid to raise some cash for charity.

He arrived at the Manchester office at 7:30am with a barbecue and a gazebo (pictured) in order to prepare, but admitted demand quickly outstripped supply.

"I totally underestimated the demand – especially the 9am rush and the lengthy queues that formed.

"Three hours and four trips to Asda later to get emergency bacon and bap supplies, I completed the task. It's the hardest work I've ever done."

Sweeney charged a pound each for the baps and the £200 proceeds went to local charity Factory Youth Zone.
