Unify amps up channel expansion with Circuit
Move to make next-generation platform available to channel completed ahead of schedule
Communications vendor Unify claims it has responded to partner demand by making its next-generation platform, Circuit, available to its channel ahead of schedule.
Released in 2014, Circuit aims to fuse voice, video, real-time document editing a management, messaging and file sharing into a single view.
Unify announced this week that the platform is now available in 30 more countries, most of which are in the EU, via its resellers.
The gesture comes as Unify strives to move away from its direct-selling roots and increase the percentage of sales generated through the channel.
Circuit is available to resellers via either a referral-selling or extended-agent model, the vendor said.
"At our Unify Partner Conference 2015 back in May, our global partners were excited about the Circuit offering, and asked if they could start selling it sooner," said Jon Pritchard, executive vice president of worldwide channels at Unify.
"Being a partner-centric company, we listened to their request, accelerated our rollout schedules, and now have given our partners the ability to sell months earlier than originally planned."
Jürgen Tiedemann, CEO of Comnet Holding GmbH in Germany, said: "With the new partnership model for Circuit we can present our customers with an innovative solution. In addition, Unify's approach allows us to continuously expand our business in the SaaS area."
