Director appointments complete Oriium management line-up

Channel services player takes on new financial and sales directors

Channel services provider Oriium has said its appointment of a financial director and sales director has completed its senior management line-up.

Founded in 2008, Oriium delivers a range of services to the channel and partners with CommVault, Arcserve and Citrix.

Oriium founder Chris Kiaie said the appointments of Katy Hogg as financial director and Steve Maltby as sales director "form and complete the senior management" of the firm.

In July, Oriium bagged a round of investment which saw Ryan McCarry take a 16 per cent stake in the firm and come in as chairman. Kiaie said Hogg, who has previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and plumbing and heating distributor Wolseley, will be in charge of looking out for possible acquisitions, following that investment from McCarry.

"Katy [Hogg] is experienced in terms of M&A and that is the stage we are at now we have attracted Ryan McCarry," he said. "Katy really forms part of the team that will let us use that investment, and she will be involved in performing due diligence and enabling some of the deals.

"She is also doing a great job in taking our accounts and finances from a small-to-medium [level] to a real enterprise quality, and really what's to be expected of us in terms of process."

Hogg, who becomes the firm's first FD, said she was looking forward to taking the company on its next stage of growth.

"I was very excited by the opportunity at Oriium as the business is growing rapidly and has impressive credentials," she said. "This is a great opportunity to take a relatively young company into an important development phase."

Maltby joins Oriium from healthcare software supplier Emis, and has been charged with growing the firm's revenues and developing its marketing in his role as sales director.

Kiaie would not dwell on who Maltby replaced, but admitted the firm had a couple of "false starts" in the position this year.

"The two appointments really mark some of the final steps in having the senior management team," Kiaie added.
