Ex-Domino's man gets a pizza the Softcat action

Lee Ginsberg first of many non-execs to join reseller

Softcat has appointed former chief financial officer of Domino's Pizza, Lee Ginsberg, as its non-executive director.

The move is part of Softcat's bid to "professionalise" the corporate governance of the company, which kicked off last year with the appointment of non-exec chairman Brian Wallace, who has been charged with bringing fellow non-execs on board.

Ginsberg is also a non-executive director at Trinity Mirror and Mothercare and is chairman of the Audit Committee of Patisserie Valerie.

Martin Hellawell, Softcat's chief executive, said Ginsberg will be the first non-exec director of many.

"We expect others in the coming weeks and months, so he won't be the only one," he told CRN.

"It is normal for a company of our size to have a number of non-execs on the board to make sure external, experienced people are bringing fresh views and governance to the organisation. Lee is a terrific bloke. He is the ex-CFO of Domnio's Pizza. Softcat is a very good customer of Domino's, so there are some synergies there!"
