New CFO at ANS to 'satisfy acquisition appetite'

ANS Group makes two senior appointments

ANS Group has made two senior appointments including a new chief financial officer in a bid to "satisfy our appetite for acquisitions".

According to documents filed with Companies House, Rob Nugent is the reseller's new chief financial officer. Chris Hodgson has been made services director.

Nugent's appointment coincides with ANS' ambitious growth plans, its chief executive Paul Sweeney told CRN.

"[We need] more bandwidth in the finance function in order to satisfy our appetite for acquisitions and the appointment of Rob Nugent as CFO will allow the board to focus on acquisition targets," he said.

"The appointments come off the back of another successful year for ANS as we continue to build our managed service revenues."

Earlier this month, ANS announced a bump in profits in its fiscal year to 31 March and earlier in the year, it said it was open to the idea of a "transformational acquisition".

Hodgson joined the Manchester reseller three years ago and was promoted to take more responsibility across ANS' services offering.

"As the managed services part of the business has grown significantly, it was important that all our services were managed under one report," said Sweeney.

"For this reason, Chris has taken responsibility for both the managed services and professional services team to give a seamless service to our customers and also recognises the hard work Chris has put in since joining three years ago."
