Entatech throws weight behind Fujitsu
Distributor increasing its focus on the vendor as it unveils ‘Entaprise' business
Entatech has made clear its intention to help grow Fujitsu’s presence in the enterprise space by launching a dedicated division called Entaprise.
Run by a five-strong team, including former Northamber exec Stewart Honeywill who joined the firm in 2013 to help set up its Leatherhead office, the aim of the division is to help increase Fujitsu’s enterprise footprint by encouraging resellers to get behind the technology.
In its launch document – the Telford-HQ’d firm said: “Our team fully understands Fujitsu, their systems and technologies and can apply our expert knowledge and expertise to ensure you receive the best possible enterprise solution to fit your needs…..let us take the strain away from servers and storage, and make it easy and profitable to sell.”
Dave Stevinson, managing director of Entatech (pictured) said: “We are primarily supporting Fujitsu’s ambitions and we want to get resellers behind them in the enterprise space to ultimately support our own enterprise ambitions. One of Entatech’s strengths is to offer focus to vendors, and we have and will continue to strengthen our team around Fujitsu’s enterprise technology."
He added: “Distributing Fujitsu enterprise technology requires investment in the right inventory, process agility and technical expertise – we are privileged to have all of these and thus see this arena in one that we can compete successfully.”
Paul Hoey, head of business development at Fujitsu UK and Ireland, said the launch was welcome.
"Fujitsu is delighted with the investment Entatech is making into the Fujitsu brand and specifically supporting our loyal resellers," he said. "During Fujitsu’s first year we have grown our server business by 30 per cent and our storage business by 80 per cent in the channel and we have aspirations to continue and accelerate this growth further. Entatech’s investment will help Fujitsu, but equally important, our resellers, in continuing to achieve long term and sustainable this growth."
Separately, Fujitsu is not the only area of focus for Entatech, as the distributor gears up for the launch of its dedicated cloud division on 9 November.
Stevinson said: “We are launching our CPaaS (cloud platform as a service) next month.
"Distribution is changing and there is a mix of physical and electronic distribution. Unless you add that electronic capability you are going to be left behind. With our cloud business, resellers will be able to deliver white label cloud and have their own branded cloud platform with zero up-front costs.”
