VARs sought for multi-million-pound schools IT deal
Liverpool City Council on the hunt for 17 suppliers for new ICT Services Framework
Liverpool City Council is on the hunt for up to 17 resellers to supply a range of IT hardware, software and services which could total almost £12m.
According to a recent tender document, the council outlined details of its ICT Services Framework, which will last for three years, with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
The IT will be spread across schools in the area and across the city in general when the deal commences on 1 March next year.
The estimated total for the framework is £2.8m but there is a potential total value of £11.2m if all lots are extended for the further year.
The framework is split into seven lots with varying estimated values: Lot 1, Hardware, £730 000; Lot 2, Software, £600,000; Lot 3, Professional Services, £12,500; Lot 4, Support and Maintenance, £100,000; Lot 5, e-Catalogue, £90,000; Lot 6, Schools Hardware, £1.2m; and Lot 7, Schools Software, £65,000.
The council plans to appoint a maximum of 17 suppliers to the framework and they can bid for a minimum of one Lot. The bids will evaluated based mainly on the price they can offer but the quality of the kit will also be a consideration.
