HPE rejigs UK channel management team

Lewis Simmonds moves to storage-focused role and is replaced by former Computacenter account manager Helen Speak

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced a reshuffle of its UK channel management structure.

Lewis Simmonds, HP's former UK enterprise indirect sales manager, has moved to become HPE's UK and Ireland indirect storage division manager, according to a statement sent to CRN.

John Ansell, HPE indirect sales director, said: "Lewis Simmonds will move from managing the growth sector and Erskine [HP base] managed accounts to running our specialist HPSD [HP Storage Division] team.

"Over the last three years Lewis [Simmonds has] driven change and developed talent with both these teams. Lewis has done an amazing job rebuilding [the team] to what it is now and to that end I am personally indebted to him for this," Ansell added.

Moving into Simmonds' former role is Helen Speak, who will become the new indirect sales manager for HPE.

"Helen [Speak] is a strong leader, recently returned from maternity leave and [has] already made a huge difference to the work we are doing around our Channel Improvement Plan (CHIMP)," Ansell said.

"Prior to maternity leave, Helen successfully led the Computacenter account and was also part of the EMEA talent programme."
