Avaya poaches ex-Oracle exec Biondi
Biondi moves to Avaya in newly created role of vice president of its global partner organisation
Avaya has poached ex-Oracle exec Steve Biondi as its new vice president of its global partner organisation.
Biondi, who will report to president of global field operations Pierre-Paul Allard, is charged with expanding Avaya's partner base and taking it into new territories in this newly created position, a statement from the company said.
Prior to joining Avaya, Biondi was senior vice president of ISV/OEM sales at Oracle for one year. In total he has worked in the IT industry for 25 years, including in senior leadership positions at IBM and VMware.
Allard said he expects Biondi's arrival to enhance Avaya's partner relationships.
"This is a time of significant transformation for virtually every industry and certainly for our partners who are faced with a broad range of challenges that can determine the future of their business," he said. "With Steve [Biondi] as the head of our global partner organisation, I am confident we will enhance our trusted partner relationship to drive sustainable growth and mutual business success."
