Office 365 struck by outage
UK and parts of Europe affected by downtime, downdetector.com reports
Microsoft's Office 365 service appears to be suffering an outage in Europe.
Users have taken to Twitter to report problems logging into the service across the UK and western Europe. "Office 365" has been trending throughout the morning.
Microsoft was not immediately available to comment on the issue and its official Office 365 "health status" page claims there are no problems.
"There are currently no known issues preventing you signing into your Office 365 service health dashboard," the site claims.
Twitter user Michael Gillett tweeted: "From what I can tell, the Office 365 outage is a European-wide authentication issue. It might only be affecting business accounts."
According to downdetector.com - a site which tracks the availability of online services - the Office 365 outage is affecting numerous European locations. See map below.
UPDATE: Microsoft responded with a comment and said:
"Some customers, particularly those in Europe and the UK, may have been unable to access services earlier today. Services are fully restored and we thank customers for their patience."
