Westcoast hopes Miura deal will pay out
Distributor inks EMEA-wide partnership with PoS hardware vendor
Privately held distributor Westcoast has linked arms with card payment and PoS platform vendor Miura Systems.
The deal covers the whole EMEA region, and will see the Westcoast Payment Systems business unit grow the vendor’s market footprint by carrying its range of card payment devices, peripherals and table PoS hardware in its 17 facilities across EMEA and its UK and Ireland offices.
In turn, the partnership enables Westcoast to expand its reach into the payments space.
Miura has been singled out as one of the top three growing UK firms according to the Sunday Times SME Export Track 100, and its products work with smartphones, tablets and traditional PoS devices.
Mark Roberts, senior vice president of sales at Miura, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Westcoast Payment Systems to distribute our products across Europe. From being able to provide a micro-merchant with a single device peripheral on a next-day basis, to offering retailers end-to-end POS solutions across Europe, aligns perfectly with our growth strategy over the coming years.”
Sunil Madani, chief financial officer at Westcoast Payment Systems, added: “For over 30 years, Westcoast has delivered logistics and distribution services to some of the largest brands in their respective fields. We believe that the partnership with Miura Systems and its approach to payment technology hardware will lead to a mutually beneficial partnership.”
