Node4 picks ex Daisy man to lead sales

John MacMillan tasked with growing sales at cloud and colocation firm

Former Daisy man John MacMillan has been enlisted as Node4's new sales director in a bid to take the cloud and colocation firm "to the next level".

MacMillan (pictured), who will report into business development director Paul Bryce, will be in charge of over 30 sales staff and will "focus on growing revenues within the enterprise mid-market, as well strategic vertical sectors", a company statement said.

Earlier this month Node4 won a place on G-Cloud 7, and MacMillan has also been charged with capitalising on the listing with the firm's infrastructure-as-a service (IaaS) offering.

In total MacMillan has over 15 years' experience in sales and senior management positions, including spells at Azzurri and Daisy.

MacMillan said he sees a chance for the business to expand in his newly created position.

"Node4 has already achieved a phenomenal level of growth by evolving its service offering in response to customer needs," he said. "But I could see a clear opportunity to take the business to the next level with its powerful combination of technical expertise and industry-leading solutions.

"I'm looking forward to building a highly focused, ambitious team that will put Node4 ahead of the curve and deliver the transformational projects that will help deliver our fast growth strategy for 2016."

Paul Bryce, business development director at Node4, said: John [MacMillan] brings a wealth of experience to Node4 that will be instrumental in driving our next phase of growth. John's appointment will ensure we can deliver on our promise to be a strategic partner of choice in the market."
