UKFast hails eCloud
Hosting provider celebrates record growth from its in-house cloud computing portfolio
Champagne corks are popping at hosting provider UKFast after its eCloud range saw revenue grow by a significant 82.9 per cent in the past 12 months.
According to the latest figures released by the firm, cloud services are netting £9.9m a year, accounting for 27 per cent of total annual recurring revenue, which it claims currently stands at £37.2m. Its most recent 2014 figures saw the firm post turnover of £28.9m.
The firm, which employs more than 250 people across offices in Manchester, London and Glasgow, claims its eCloud is the first elastic cloud to be designed, created and wholly hosted in the UK.
Lawrence Jones MBE (pictured left), CEO of UKFast, said: "We originally launched eCloud to fill a hole in the market for a truly home-grown British cloud. Clearly, we hit a real need as we're now seeing more and more businesses moving onto the platform and we fully expect this rate of growth to continue.
"Since the original launch we have added several new products to the range, including eCloud Vault drag-and-drop storage. While it is fantastic to see UKFast going from strength to strength, I'm incredibly proud to see our solutions helping [other] companies to grow."
And Jones was bullish about the future, adding: "We have some extraordinary things in the pipeline at UKFast. Seeing the results from the past two years with eCloud, I am excited to see where the next two years will take us."
