NetApp crowns chief techie in the UK

Grant Caley charged with enhancing technical relationships with customers

NetApp has appointed one of its long-serving engineers as its principal technology officer for the UK and Ireland.

Grant Caley joined NetApp in 2000 and worked his way up through a number of technical roles until this month, when he landed the new UKI-wide role.

He will report directly to the company's UK boss Elliot Howard. In his new role, he will be charged with improving NetApp's business and technical relationships with its customers.

"Acting as an interface between NetApp's corporate team and customers, Caley will also deliver the NetApp data fabric vision, enabling businesses to move their data across any storage infrastructure," NetApp said.

He will also act as a mentor to the wider technical team.

NetApp's Howard said: "Grant's experience, his understanding of our customers' needs and technical expertise will help develop our business and drive growth in the UK and Ireland.

"He brings tremendous insight from his time working with one of our biggest clients and I am confident that he will excel at helping our partners and other customers leverage their data assets and maximise their business value in his new role."
