Facebook's enterprise launch coming soon
95 per cent of Facebook features to be used on Facebook at Work
Facebook will launch into the enterprise communications space in the coming months, according to Reuters.
Facebook at Work has been in the making for some time, with the idea first surfacing in summer 2014. But an exec for the social media giant told Reuters that it is ready to launch soon.
Facebook at Work will be very similar to the regular, consumer version, with 95 per cent of tools developed for the former to be available on the latter. Popular game Candy Crush Saga will not be available on the enterprise version, the executive confirmed.
The workplace collaboration tool has been trialled for a year with a number of companies which were picked to give it a go. It is expected that Facebook will charge firms for additional services such as analytics on a per-month, per-user basis.
Similar tools such as Microsoft Yammer and Cisco Spark are already aimed at helping enterprise users work together better through a social media platform.
