Exertis welcomes new Group FD

Richard Hinds brought on board to help oversee 2016 growth plans

Ambitious distributor Exertis has appointed Richard Hinds (pictured) as group finance director UK and Ireland as it gears up for growth next year.

Hinds will assume overall control and responsibility for the firm’s accounting function, help develop annual operating budgets, and helm the financial teams.

He will report directly to Gerry O’Keeffe, managing director UK and Ireland. Hind joined the firm from Flogas, a sales and distribution company that is part of the DCC Group, where he also worked as finance director.

O’Keeffe said: “Richard joins Exertis at an exciting period for the company as we embark on implementing our growth strategy for 2016 and beyond. His knowledge of our business ethos, having come from within the DCC group, will be invaluable and his considerable experience and ability will help us to drive the financial performance of Exertis.”
