Stone throws servers into Lenovo offering
Lenovo Gold partner Stone adds acquired System X products to its Lenovo portfolio
Public sector supplier Stone Group has bolstered its alliance with Lenovo by adding its server technology to its portfolio.
Building on its five-year partnership to sell Lenovo's end-user computing devices, Stone has begun selling the Chinese manufacturer's System X and ThinkServer range.
Stone purchasing director, Peter Berks, said the move will ensure Lenovo Gold partner Stone is "offering the highest levels of product for those who are looking for private cloud or hybrid solutions".
"Stone Infrastructure Services (SIS) is seeing a huge amount of traction for a range of cloud solutions, but we understand the public sector and appreciate that there is still a big appetite, and need for replacement on-premise servers and storage in many situations," he said.
"The relationship with Lenovo is a long-term investment for the future of both businesses and our customer service and support strategy."
Guy England, enterprise business group director at Lenovo, said: "From small schools to large complex environments within healthcare, Stone Group has built a strong reputation in the UK and we are excited to deepen our relationship with them across our full product portfolio."
