Exertis steps up Huawei services with new accreditation

Distributor bags place on Huawei's Certified Services Partner (CSP) programme

Exertis has extended its partnership with Huawei, bagging a place on the Chinese vendor's Certified Services Partner (CSP) programme.

CSP is a services accreditation for the full sales cycle which includes pre-sales and maintenance services on behalf of resellers. It requires staff to be trained in the construction, management and installation of networking to certain specifications, the availability of a 24/7 technical support centre and in-field technicians.

Exertis is now the only Huawei distributor that can provide authorised services and networking products to its partners, the distributor claimed in a statement.

Ian Gilbey, Exertis services director, said the new agreement will be very beneficial to Exertis' resellers.

"Exertis is delighted to be expanding its partnership with Huawei," he said. "With CSP accreditation, our resellers will gain significant commercial advantage in deploying Huawei networking products through Exertis, benefiting from our award-winning range of services and supported by Huawei's Co-Care model.

"This proposition is unique in the market and will provide our customers with a value-added service that will also enable them to add more margin to their business."

Kevin Wildman, Huawei enterprise channel service director, said the accreditation will be a differentiator for Exertis.

"By becoming a CSP, Exertis has shown its commitment to delivering first-class services to its resellers," he said. "With Huawei's support in the enterprise business market a CSP can build and enhance its own services brand, improve customer satisfaction, stand out in the market and become an industry leader."

News of the accreditation follows a restructure to Exertis' networking arm in November focused on pushing more business into the enterprise.
