Google for Work channel man heads for exit
Peter Lorant announces move to Workday
A senior Google for Work exec who took responsibility for its channel for seven years is leaving the firm for enterprise cloud firm Workday.
Peter Lorant is currently Google For Work's sales director for EMEA and APAC, a role he has held since the start of last year. Prior to that he spent seven years as Google For Work's channel director for the same region.
He took to LinkedIn yesterday to announce his departure.
"I just announced to my colleagues that I am leaving Google after seven years," he said. "It has been an amazing journey and I enjoyed every bit of it. Very sad to be leaving, but very excited to be joining Workday as its new VP of alliances in EMEA. Google is a tough act to follow, but Workday has great products, great people and... growth opportunities. Can't wait!"
He said he will begin at Workday on 25 January.
Google said it does not comment on staff moves and Workday was not immediately available to comment.
