Exertis unveils new director as it 'refines focus'

Former Epson sales boss Mark Reynolds joins Basingstoke-based distributor

Exertis has appointed former Epson executive Mark Reynolds as its new IT commercial director for the UK.

Reynolds has spent the past three years as sales director at the printer vendor, holding both business and retail sales roles.

Exertis recently confirmed it is undergoing some "mild restructuring" in certain areas of its UK business.

Reynolds (pictured) will report to Phil Brown, Exertis sales and commercial director, UK and Ireland, who said his arrival comes at a time when Exertis is honing its strategy.

"Mark has extensive channel experience in the retail and B2B sectors and will drive, and be responsible for, the growth of our business within our IT categories as we refine our structure to take advantage of the opportunities that exist across the company," said Brown.

Reynolds, who has also served stints at Samsung and Toshiba, added: "I am looking forward to the challenge that this role presents in ensuring we support our existing and future vendors in taking their products to market and delivering great value for our resellers and their customers. Exertis is recognised for the expertise and knowledge of its commercial team and aligned with its proactive sales approach, it presents a powerful resource to help our vendor partners and customers grow their business."
