VIP bids farewell to long-serving director
Duncan McAuley departs distributor
Duncan McAuley has left VIP UK after 11 years at the helm of the Warrington-based distributor.
McAuley confirmed in a company statement that he is stepping out of the UK distribution business from the end of January "and for the foreseeable future will be part of the VIP Group".
McAuley said: "Having been with VIP UK for over a decade I feel that now is the right time for me to step out of the business. VIP UK has just announced its best-ever half-yearly results, based upon a sound strategy that is delivering solid growth and profitability. Over the past year VIP has strengthened its foundations to offer great opportunities to its vendors and customers."
In its last audited annual accounts, for the year ending 30 June 2014, VIP Group saw revenue jump 11 per cent to £227m, as EBITDA leapt 24 per cent to £4.3m.
McAuley is gearing up to take a "well-earned break", adding that he will mull new opportunities "either within the VIP Group or externally".
VIP Group Chairman, Jatti Sahni added: "I would like to thank Duncan for his valued contribution over the past 11 years. He's played an important part in the growth of the business, which has helped VIP UK become the distributor of choice in the IT industry. I look forward to his continued contribution within the VIP Group."
