Dixons' old HQ used for Jason Bourne shoot

'Dixons Towers' providing backdrop for retake of scene in Hollywood blockbuster, according to report

The Hemel Hempstead HQ Dixons vacated last year is apparently being used to shoot a scene from the latest instalment of the Bourne franchise.

According to the Hemel Gazette, a retake of a scene in Jason Bourne is being shot in the Maylands Avenue building, which until last year housed 1,000 Dixons staff.

Following its £3.8bn merger with Carphone Warehouse, Dixons renamed itself Dixons Carphone and relocated its HQ to Acton in London. The last of the staff vacated the old building last October.

Mark Webb, head of group social media at Dixons, alerted us to the news when he tweeted the following this afternoon:

Webb added that he now can't wait to see the movie, which is slated for release on 29 July 2016 and sees Matt Damon return to the lead role after a one-film absence.

"If Matt Damon needs a funkier setting though, he needs to come and see us in our new offices in Acton. We'll wait for his agent's call," Webb added.
