Purple patches in new channel programme

Analytics vendor, which rebranded from Purple WiFi last month, is gunning for growth

Purple has launched a new partner programme as it gears up for expansion after rebranding at the start of the year.

The vendor, which works with Westcon Comstor in the UK and currently works with over 300 resellers globally, claims its programme will offer partners new recurring revenue streams, access to budgets outside of IT and a gateway to analytics.

It describes itself as an "intelligent spaces" company, which offers real-time analytics and marketing for venues and businesses that want to engage with visitors and understand the use of physical spaces.

Under the new programme, partners can either be Authorised or a higher level Certified, which offers additional benefits, including deal registration, training, discounts and account management support. Both levels offer access to the Purple partner portal and added tools.

The vendor has also tweaked its pricing, adding a new licence type called Foundation, which offers a low price point. It has also scrapped monthly pricing, and added a five-year licence option to go alongside its existing one or three-year licence options.

Gavin Wheeldon, chief executive of Purple, said: "Authorised partners can continue to sell our products. However, if a partner chooses to become Certified, and goes through our simple online training process, they will experience another level of support from us, and ultimately enjoy enhanced selling opportunities."

He added: "We will work closely with our Certified partners to supercharge their ability to sell our services to customers. They will be clear on the new budget streams that can be created and the benefits to business this can bring."
