Concorde IT Group soars through £10m sales barrier

Reseller says new busienss wins contributed to growth last year

Yorkshire-based VAR Concorde IT Group has breached the £10m turnover barrier on the back of a surge in new business wins.

The NetApp, Cisco, VMware, Lenovo and Microsoft partner saw turnover for the 12 months ending 31 December 2015 rise 17 per cent to £10.15m.

Gross profit and net operating also powered up 33 per cent to £292,000 and 43 per cent to £235,000, respectively.

Group sales director Matthew Wood said the numbers were boosted by new business wins.

"This is only the start for us," he said. "We believe there is a great opportunity to at least double our business in the next three to five years."

Based in Ossett in West Yorkshire, Concorde splits its business into three areas: IT support and managed services; product supply; and solutions and consultancy.

Concorde made five acquisitions at the turn of the last decade but Wood said the emphasis now is on organic growth.

"In the short-term we are focused on organic growth but we wouldn't rule out acquisitions in the future," he said.

"Looking at the market, we believe there is a huge opportunity for our business to grow between £10m and £50m. There aren't that many resellers that can offer nationwide support to the breadth and depth we can."
