More than 1,000 suppliers awarded place on DOS framework

Digital Outcomes and Services replaces controversial Digital Services framework

The government has awarded more than 1,000 suppliers a place on the new Digital Outcomes and Services (DOS) framework.

The 1,261-strong line-up of suppliers were notified on 3 March, but the government only formally announced the names over the weekend.

DOS was set to go live at the end of February, but was put back until mid-April.

The framework acts as a replacement for the Digital Services framework, which after three iterations was effectively scrapped when suppliers complained about it. Many said that the way it was set up meant it asked suppliers for individuals rather than the complete offering of a team or company.

A number of familiar faces have made the cut on DOS - such as Avnet, Comparex, Computacenter and Imerja. The full list of 1,261 suppliers can be accessed here.

Of the total number of suppliers, 92 per cent are SMEs and 52 per cent are new to the Digital Marketplace, which is the umbrella organisation for the G-Cloud and DOS frameworks.

The DOS framework was split into four categories: 1,034 suppliers were awarded a place in the 'digital outcomes' section, 1,062 won a spot in the 'digital specialists' section, 87 popped up in the 'research labs' category and 119 found themselves in the 'research participants' group.
