XMA wins a spot on £5m Scottish hardware framework

Reseller beats four rival bidders

XMA has pipped four rivals to the post and become the single supplier on a lucrative Scottish IT framework.

The reseller has been awarded single-supplier status on the National Framework for Workstation Client Devices, which will be worth £5m excluding VAT over four years, according to a contract-award notice.

The framework will see XMA provide a range of computer equipment and services, parts and accessories, workstations and portable computers to authorities throughout the public sector in Scotland.

The reseller was awarded the contract as its offer was deemed the "most economically advantageous" based on a price-to-quality ratio of 70:30.

Earlier this month, the Scottish government published a tender document for the renewal of a tablet contract which will be worth £50m. At the moment, XMA is the sole supplier on the framework.
