UKFast makes earth move for JCB as 2015 sales soar

Sales at hosting firm soar 18 per cent in 2016

UKFast has enjoyed a double-digit sales increase in 2015 thanks in part to a landmark deal with JCB.

Last year, sales at the Manchester hosting firm soared 18 per cent to £34.3m, with almost all of the £5.1m extra sales being recurring revenue.

UKFast's chief executive Lawrence Jones picked winning a deal with British construction-equipment maker JCB as a highlight of last year.

"The last year has been the most exciting year of our 16 so far," he said. "We've added more big brands and enterprise clients than ever before. A particular highlight for me was winning the account with JCB. It is an iconic British business; a unique, standout brand and one I am tremendously proud to host."

Continuing the British theme, Jones said that UKFast is enjoying the benefits of customers deciding to invest in local firms.

"We are seeing a clear and definite move towards British businesses buying from British businesses," he said. "The looming economic crisis in China is making people nervous and I believe people across the globe are buying more locally to reduce their exposure.

"We have spent the last year investing in our team and our infrastructure. We are in an incredibly strong position now with the resource we've added and the coming year is set to be our most productive to date."
