Blackbox looks to fly with new IT division

Services player takes wraps off new division as it looks to rapid growth

Kent-based MSP Blackbox Solutions has launched its first dedicated IT division as it looks to widen its services offerings to customers.

The ambitious firm, which has been in growth mode since its inception in 2012, has hired a five-strong team (pictured) to drive growth in the new division, led by IT manager Robert Baldock, and is hoping to recruit further talent in the coming months.

Colin Griffin, managing director of Blackbox, said: "We found that we were regularly working with third-party companies when it came to providing IT hardware and support for our clients. We decided to establish our own in-house IT division in order to offer our customers a one-stop shop for all their document solutions and IT needs.

"Our IT capabilities have improved the range of services we can offer to customers, and opened up many new business opportunities - we see this division as key to driving the company's continued growth and success."

Blackbox's division will supply state-of-the-art hardware and software installation and IT support services, including cloud-based VoIP, and the firm has also set up a new datacentre in Maidstone offering customers cloud storage, data storage and DR support.
