Advanced in massive UK recruitment drive
Software vendor aims to hire 1,000 new employees in 18 months
Advanced is looking for 1,000 new employees in the next 18 months with its new talent acquisition programme.
The software vendor, which today rebranded from Advanced Computer Software Group, launched its new Midlands headquarters at the Mailbox in Birmingham today.
400 of the new roles will be based at the new headquarters, and Advanced are aiming to attract both graduates and non-graduates of all ages and backgrounds. A minimum of 50 per cent of new employees will come from the programme.
Advanced was acquired by Vista Equity Partners in March 2015 and since then the business has undergone transformations including the appointment of a new C-suite comprised, they claim, of high calibre employees within the tech industry.
Advanced is also completing a four-stage programme of re-branding, relocation, restructure and recruitment.
Gordon Wilson, CEO of Advanced, said: "The talent acquisition programme represents a great opportunity for individuals considering a career in IT. We are passionate about identifying dynamic, high-performing and motivated individuals who are invaluable to our future expansion.
"Birmingham is the clear choice given it has the UK's largest regional urban economy and is the most popular destination outside the South East for mass millennial migration."
Mark Rogers, chief executive of Birmingham City Council, added: "It is great news that Advanced has chosen to launch in Birmingham, creating hundreds of new training and career opportunities for the city's workforce."
