CCS Media opens two more offices

Ambitious VAR has sights set on more this year as it aims for aggressive growth

CCS Media has grown its network of UK offices to 22, after cutting the ribbon on new premises in Northampton and a second location in Glasgow.

The fast-growing firm is aiming to open more locations during the year, but was unable to reveal exact locations at this time. The VAR is on a roll after being named one of the most inspiring firms in the UK by the London Stock Exchange earlier this week.

It has also posted 15 per cent year-on-year growth for its first-quarter results, with £15m in sales for the period, with star performing brands including Cisco, Dell, HPE, HP Inc and Microsoft.

CCS has also grown its managed print services, bringing on board industry veterans Dan Lazarus, Grant Paczensky and Ian Comerford, who have 55 years of experience between them, working with vendors such as Canon, HP, Konica, Kyocera, Ricoh and Xerox.

Terry Betts, managing director of CCS, said: "We are one of the few resellers that is way ahead in the provision of MPS. Forecasts show that by 2018, 80 per cent of print business will be contracted out and so we felt that investing in the right people now would place us in good stead and help drive the growth forward."

The VAR also rolled out an apprentice academy scheme last year, and has been undergoing a rigorous recruitment programme in Q1 2016 for academy-based talent to add to its sales teams across its Bradford and Slough offices.

Betts added: "Our first-quarter performance demonstrates that despite the challenging environment, we are in a strong position in the reseller market. Our commitment to providing excellent levels of service, dedicated account management and our approach to looking after and training our people clearly work and I am optimistic that we are on course for another record year."
