Tech Data gets flirty for ASUS

Distributor looking to woo system builders and integrators onto vendor partner programme

ASUS has enlisted the help of Tech Data to grow its UK channel and tempt system builders and integrators to join its partner programme.

The ASUS Valued Partner Programme (AVP) offers resources and support to channel firms buying its motherboards, and the vendor claims there are no specific sign-up requirements.

In return for registering as a partner, ASUS offers access to a three-year Advance Replacement Service on its standard motherboards; the ability to accrue Intel Technology Provider programme points on certain purchases; and access to evaluation and demo units, marketing collateral and events.

As well as Registered levels, ASUS has Elite, Gold Elite and Diamond Elite levels. Entry is assessed on overall purchases of qualifying products over a three-month rolling period, with new incentives added at each level.

Paul Jacobs, PC components and accessories business unit manager at Tech Data, said the benefits of joining were attractive.

"The AVP programme is a win-win for system builders, integrators and retailers," he claimed. "It costs nothing to sign up and the potential business benefits are significant. Both ASUS and Tech Data are keen for more customers to register as it means they will get more benefits for every ASUS motherboard they sell."
