Six Degrees buys 'number one' Microsoft partner Insite

6DG claims latest conquest is Europe's top provider of Microsoft Dynamics AX hosting and managed services in the cloud

Hosting and comms outfit Six Degrees (6DG) has notched up its second acquisition of 2016 in the form of Microsoft Dynamics AX hosting specialist Insite.

Founded in 1994, Insite offers predominantly Microsoft ERP and CRM applications from its own tier-three datacentre. It counts clothing brands Joules and Crew Clothing among its clients.

The acquisition will also 6DG Microsoft Azure public cloud knowledge to 6DG, which has already acquired G-Cloud supplier Carrenza this year and made three acquisitions in 2015.

6DG claimed London-based Insite is the "number one" provider of Microsoft Dynamics AX hosting and managed services in the cloud in Europe. The firm goes to market both directly and through ISVs.

Alastair Mills, CEO of 6DG, said: "This announcement is a continuation of our stated strategic goal to enhance our capabilities in mission-critical application hosting, with a secure and compliant wrap, for business and government customers. It also provides Microsoft Azure expertise in the public cloud for both IaaS and PaaS, as well as a strong ISV partner channel."

Insite managing director James Barden said: "We are looking forward to introducing new capabilities from Six Degrees in addition to the expertise in mission-critical hosting we have been delivering to our customers for many years."
