Ian Moyse resurfaces at Axios

Boosting the company's UK presence is top of Moyse's agenda

Cloud expert Ian Moyse has popped up at IT service management vendor Axios Systems.

Moyse (pictured), who left Rackspace in February, joined the UK firm last week as sales director. He has previously held sales roles at Workbooks and Webroot and currently sits on the boards of the Cloud Industry Forum and FAST.

Axios is a UK vendor which competes with the likes of ServiceNow and provides customers with an application which it claims helps IT bosses to manage their users' needs.

Moyse said he was selected partly due to his experience in working with smaller firms that compete with much larger rivals.

"[Axios] is a UK firm which is up against the big guys," he said. "In size and scale we are absolutely the underdog. But we are winning big-name accounts and switching customers and punching above our weight. I've been brought in to accelerate our ability to punch above our weight and to build up the team - I am recruiting currently.

"We are going to increase the sales footprint in the UK and accelerate what we're doing. I want to look at channels to market too, like managed services providers (MSPs), with which we can partner, who can utilise our technology to best deliver service to their customers."
