Avnet upgrades its Bracknell demo centre
Distie's channel partners will be able to use the facility
Avnet has upgraded its UK demonstration centre in a move it claims will help its partners better show off next-generation technology.
The Bracknell base, named the Resource, has been enhanced, Avnet claims, adding that it has a new focus on solutions which encompass the latest IT technology such as converged and hyperconverged infrastructure, cloud, mobility, social, big data, analytics and security.
New demonstrations available in the upgraded Resource centre include platform-management solutions for the Internet of Things, and partners are now able to attend training sessions and take certification exams for vendors including F5, IBM, Veeam and VMware.
The purpose-built base will allow Avnet's reseller partners to demonstrate their products to customers, with Avnet techies on hand to help with proof of concepts, testing, and demos.
Avnet's senior vice president for northern EMEA said: "We see our role as being to work with reseller partners to help them become enablers of a customer's business strategy and build new revenue streams as they progress to next-generation technologies. By collaborating with our technical experts, business partners can concentrate on their customer's business requirements safe in the knowledge that the technical demonstration and proof of concept feasibility are taken care of by Avnet."
