Bank of England fires gun on £6m ITSM deal

Between five and eight suppliers will be invited to tender for 10-year deal

The Bank of England is on the hunt for an IT supplier to provide it with a new IT service management (ITSM) solution which could be worth up to £6m.

In a recently published tender document, the Bank of England outlined details of its IT Service Management Tool framework, which will last for 10 years.

Over that time, it will be worth between £1.5m and £6m, the document states, and between five and eight suppliers will be invited to tender.

The solution must include a range of functionality including event management, capacity management, service catalogue management and an end-user portal.

"The solution will also be scalable to accommodate growth in use of the service and functionality," said the tender. "The solution will need to provide service continuity and disaster recovery capability, [as well as] capability to survey end users.

"The option to add additional modules in the future to provide functionality for human resources and facilities management and professional services to cover the implementation of the solution to the bank."
