Trustmarque wins multimillion-pound deal

Trustmarque will provide IT services to learndirect for at least seven years

Trustmarque has won a multimillion-pound contract with skills, training and employment services provider learndirect.

The seven-year deal will see Trustmarque provide IT support in key areas including networking, infrastructure and end-user computing, and it will also manage learndirect's IT suppliers.

Scott Haddow, CEO at Trustmarque, said: "This is a significant deal for Trustmarque, and is a huge endorsement of our end-to-end IT management capabilities.

"Our aim is to help learndirect simplify its IT environment, while delivering year-on-year improvements.

"We have the experience, expertise and industry accreditations to meet the requirements of learndirect's customers both now and in the future."

Around 20,000 people access learndirect's services every day and the firm wants to relieve itself of IT management to focus on its core business.

Ian Tufts, group CIO at learndirect, said: "Our technology strategy is built around our ability to meet business outcomes, rather than simply being led by technology.

"At the same time, with thousands of people using our services every day, we need to guarantee great service availability.

"This arrangement allows learndirect to better focus on improving the service we provide to our internal and external customers and driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our core business."

The agreement will also see 61 learndirect staff move to Trustmarque.
