CompTIA launches second Standard in rebadge
MSP-focused badge is the latest of CompTIA's new Standards since dropping a number of its Trustmark ratings
CompTIA has released the second of its planned series of Standards aimed at channel service providers.
According to CompTIA, the Channel Standard for Managed IT Solution Providers has been designed for companies that deliver technology solutions to customers via a managed services model.
Earlier this year CompTIA announced it would drop some of its old Trustmark certifications to focus on its new best practice programme. Available free of charge to members, the organisation claims its Standards provide a checklist that firms can follow to strengthen their service offerings to customers.
"Standards provide channel organisations with an opportunity to be the best they can be and give end users the reassurance that they are purchasing from a trusted business," said Estelle Johannes, director of member communities UK at CompTIA.
"With so much expected growth in MSPs, our new Standard can help support their expansion. Standards benefit everyone in the IT channel and we urge the channel market to take full advantage.
"We encourage MSPs to use our channel standards as a guide to help them conduct an honest, thoughtful evaluation of their business's readiness to take advantage of new opportunities."
In March the not-for-profit organisation also released new e-learning courses and a series of on-demand executive certificate courses to its members.
