VAR formerly known as Integralis gets another makeover

NTT announces formation of 'NTT Security'

NTT Com Security, the pan-European security VAR formerly known as Integralis, is being folded into a brand new security outfit formed by its Japanese parent NTT.

NTT announced this morning that it is establishing NTT Security, a specialised security company combining the services of NTT Com Security and US security VAR Solutionary.

The new entity, which will begin operating on 1 August, will have 1,300 staff and will be led by NTT executive Juan Sawada. It will also draw on the security platforms of other NTT companies including Dimension Data, NTT Communications and NTT Innovation Institute.

NTT said the new firm will deliver managed security services and specialised security expertise through NTT operating companies worldwide. Client engagement will be managed by the NTT operating companies Dimension Data, NTT Communications and NTT Data.

NTT has appointed a global team of eight experienced leaders to head the new company, led by Sawada, who is senior executive vice president of NTT. Five regional leaders have also been appointed, including NTT Com Security CEO Frank Brandenburg to the post of Europe region COO.

Germany-based NTT Com Security, which changed its name from Integralis in 2013 four years after NTT acquired it, has 840 staff, while Nebraska-based Solutionary has a headcount of 430.

"For clients of all NTT's subsidiaries, NTT will continue to increase investments in developing industry-leading security solutions that support the entire security life cycle," NTT stated.

"Through aligning its investments, NTT will accelerate its security value proposition with cutting-edge technologies and services powered by global threat intelligence allowing clients to take full advantage of an integrated approach to security solutions as part of a wider set of technology services."
