AVR drives off with Volkswagen managed services deal

Security and mobility reseller wins deal to support 4,000 iPads in Volkswagen showrooms

IT security and mobility reseller AVR International has secured a three-year managed services contract to provide mobile device management for Volkswagen UK.

The reseller has been working with Volkswagen UK since 2011 when it managed the deployment of iPads to Volkswagen's UK showroom sales teams.

As well as partnering with Apple, the Twyford based reseller's vendor partners include Cisco, Intel and Symantec.

The new contract will see AVR International manage over 4,000 iPads across Volkswagen group in more than 200 UK showrooms.

The reseller will also provide managed services and technical support through its in-house mobility service desk.
