e92plus in double vendor signing

Distributor claims addition of Guidance Software and NSFOCUS will complement existing partnerships with likes of Forcepoint and Trend Micro

e92plus has added Guidance and NSFOCUS to its security portfolio as it looks to expand its offering to partners.

Neil Langridge, marketing director at e92plus, said the two additions will not cause any overlap or conflict between vendors in the e92 security offering, but will instead fit in well with the likes of Forcepoint, Trend Micro and Bitdefender.

"We see Guidance as the perfect complement to our portfolio," Langridge said.

"We work with end-point vendors like Forcepoint and Trend Micro, but that is mostly focused on prevention.

"The reality is that organisations know that they are going to be vulnerable, whether it is hackers coming in or insider threats, so it's about being able to have that element of discovery in the event of something going wrong."

Langridge claimed that the addition of Guidance will also create a strong services opportunity for partners, as end users look more and more towards consultancy services with regulatory changes looming.

With this in mind, e92plus will be offering training to both existing partners, and the new partners it is looking to take on as part of its Guidance push.

Guidance has traditionally worked with two distributors in the UK and signed up Infinigate last year to work alongside Wick Hill.

The Wick Hill partnership, formed in 2013, ended earlier this year which Langridge said left a gap that needed to be filled.

"I think for some vendors they like to have a local specialist, very value-add focused, and one broad pan-European partner. Guidance is well established so it makes sense for them to keep one existing partner and bring on a new one," he said.

Joining e92plus alongside Guidance is NSFOCUS, which Langridge says is a strong player in the DDoS space and will compete against the likes of Arbor.

e92plus will be NSFOCUS' first UK distributor, launching it into the UK channel for the first time.

"They've had a small presence in the UK for a little bit while they established themselves, but this is their first move into the channel," Langridge said.

"They're making a big investment and going two tier, so we'll be their sole distributor and we'll be responsible for bringing on and recruiting channel partners."
