Microsoft partner offering free Dynamics projects for women-owned firms

QuantiQ aiming to boost the position of women in tech with giveaway

Microsoft partner QuantiQ is looking to give away free Dynamics projects to businesses owned by women in a bid to boost women in the tech.

The Dynamics specialist's marketing director Candice Arnold (pictured) recently featured in CRN's Women in the Channel project, and following on from that, the firm decided it wanted to make a gesture, she said.

"It caused quite a bit of conversation in our office and we have been thinking of how we can make a difference using what we do best - deliver world-class technology," she said. "In the UK, female founders account for only 20 per cent of companies, I would like this to grow.

"Add to that the stifled flow of venture and seed funding that goes to female founders - only 17 per cent globally - this makes this group most deserving of a catalyst for growth.

"In our experience of delivering Microsoft Dynamics CRM, it is that catalyst and thus would like to extend this offer."

Business with five or more staff which were founded by a woman will be eligible for the freebie. To apply, interested parties must briefly showcase why they are deserving of it, and host QuantiQ at a site visit.

One free Dynamics project will be dished out to a female-run business per quarter, starting from now, said Arnold.
