Technology Products 2 bidders get provisional nod

Suppliers faced a delay in being told who had made it on the framework

The government has sent out 'intention to award' notices to dozens of IT suppliers bidding for a place on the Technology Products 2 framework this morning.

The list of firms was sent out earlier today - two days later than expected. Contents of the list have been relayed to CRN by multiple sources, but at this stage, nothing is official.

A cooling-off period now kicks in, during which challenges to the line-up can be made, meaning today's list is not set in stone and could change. The official line-up will be released by the government in due course.

Big names such as Softcat, CDW, Misco, Insight, Computacenter and Trustmarque are among those to have made the cut across the six lots.

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) confirmed to CRN earlier this week that there was a short delay in sending out the list of potential suppliers, but it did not elaborate as to why.

Technology Products 2 is the successor to the £6bn Technology Products framework, which finally went live in November 2014 after facing delays due to legal challenges.

CCS was unavailable for comment at the time of publication.
