Exertis launches Microsoft Office 'Dare to Ask' programme
Initiative gives resellers the chance to claim a free copy of Office if they are not offered it by an Exertis salesperson
Resellers placing an order through distributor Exertis can claim a free copy of Microsoft Office Home and Business 2016 if they are not offered the product by the Exertis salesperson.
The Dare to Ask campaign, valid to a reseller ordering any Windows desktop or laptop, lets resellers request a free copy of the software if the salesperson does not ask if they want to purchase it.
Simon Barnard, computing general manager at Exertis, said the initiative has been introduced to help increase Exertis' attach rate.
"This campaign is designed to accelerate our attach rate as a whole and running this promotion makes it incredibly visible to our customers, who should all expect to see or hear Microsoft Office mentioned on every quote, regardless of format," he said.
"We will wait to see what results this delivers, but the fact that it will be fresh in the minds of sales teams on a daily basis can only be a good thing."
Thomas Hall, Microsoft UK OEM channel marketing manager, added: "Exertis dare to challenge the standard sales incentive with the Dare to Ask campaign.
"By switching the behaviour to always offering Microsoft Office on every order, we intend to increase attach rates and galvanise sales representatives and managers alike on one collective goal: selling Microsoft Office."
