UK-based Red Stack Tech swallowed by Data Intensity
Acquisition sees one Oracle Platinum partner acquire another
Oracle Platinum partner Red Stack Tech has been acquired by US cloud services firm Data Intensity.
Based in Essex, Red Stack Tech is a global service provider specialising in the provisioning of software, hardware and managed services across the Oracle technology stack.
The Red Stack team will join the existing UK team at Data Intensity, which is also an Oracle Platinum partner, and be headed up by Red Stack founder and CEO Alex Louth.
"One of the primary reasons we decided to join forces with Data Intensity is our shared commitment to customers and making them our number one priority," Louth said.
"This transaction will provide our customers greater access to best-in-class resources, expertise and capabilities worldwide."
Earlier this month Red Stack reported a revenue of £27.6m for the 12 months ending 31 December 2015, a 55 per cent increase on the previous year.
Kirk Arnold, CEO at Data Intensity, said: "The acquisition of Red Stack Tech is a major next step towards the goal of providing our customers with a best-in-class solution and services portfolio on a global scale.
"We can now offer our customers the reach and resources of a global organisation with the attention and personalised service of a local business partner.
"This becomes increasingly important as more companies are looking to shift their critical core infrastructure to the cloud, and they want a partner that provides the expertise, resources and support at a local level to give them confidence and peace of mind."
