EMC UK boss Fraser heading for the exit

Dayne Turbitt to take over from 1 January

Dell has confirmed that Ross Fraser, who ran EMC in the UK before its acquisition by Dell, is preparing to leave the company.

Fraser took on the top job in the UK in March 2015, having started working at the firm in 1999. He held a number of roles during his time at the company, including Scotland country manager and vice president of strategic alliances.

Dell completed its acquisition of EMC last month. The move saw EMC and its sister companies - including VMware, Pivotal and RSA - all come under the Dell Technologies umbrella, alongside the Dell divisions. EMC now sits in the enterprise section of Dell Technologies, which is known as Dell EMC.

When the deal went through, Fraser became Dell EMC's head of enterprise for the UK and Ireland, but he is soon to leave this role.

Adrian McDonald, Dell EMC's EMEA boss, will take over his duties in the interim, before Dayne Turbitt - who currently looks after EMC's global accounts - takes over on 1 January.

Dell EMC confirmed the personnel rejig but offered no further comment.

The news came as Michael Dell laid out his vision for the combined company at the Canalys Channels Forum event in Barcelona this morning.
